I recieved this lovely poem today
I would like to share it with you
Its just a way of saying Im grateful
For everything you do
If I could build a mountain
You could call your very own;
A place to find serenity,
A place to be alone.
If I could take your troubles
I would toss them in the sea,
But all these things I'm finding
are impossible for me.
I cannot build a mountain
Or catch a rainbow fair,
But let me be what I know best,
A friend who's always there.

I prayed for you before we met
not knowing who you'd be
I asked the lord to send a friend
one chosen just for me
I asked that they'd be godly
with wisdom of his ways
a friend to help and guide me
in the troubles of these days
So often in life we need someone
to listen while we talk
someone who will not condemn or judge
but encourage us as we walk
The narrow road we chose to follow
may sometimes make us stumble
but to have a friend to catch our fall
teaches us to be humble
When I asked the lord to send a friend
though many came and went
he gave much more than I ever asked
for you are the friend he sent

~~Arched Across The Sky~~
Rainbows created my imagination
as it arched across the sky
on one end there sat you
at the other there sat I...
Imagining I could slide across
over the rainbow to the end
there would be my pot of gold
the sweet love of my dear friend...
The rainbow is a connection
like a bridge from me to you
it appears joined by sunlight
then the grey skies turn to blue...
Arriving after the rainstorms
it becomes so evident to me
thoughts of love follow rainbows
they arched right across the sea...
A colourful arching rainbow
it has no gate, it has no door
it reaches from friend to friend
it arches from shore to shore...
I smiled up today at the sky
how far would my loving smile go
it slid right over to the other side
the other end of the coloured rainbow...

I should like to send you a sunbeam
or the twinkle of some bright star
or a tiny piece of the downy fleece
that clings to a cloud afar
I should like to send you the essence
of a bouquet of sun kissed flowers
or the lilting song as it floats along
of a brook through fairy bowers
I should like to send you the dew drops
that glisten at break of day
and then at night the eerie light
that mantles the milky way
I should like to send you the power
that nothing can overthrow
the power to smile and laugh
while journeying through life you go
But these are mere fanciful wishes
i'll send you a godspeed instead
and i'll clasp your hand
then you'll understand all the
things I have left unsaid

and the hair on your neck stands up
have you gone to pour a cup of tea
but someone's moved your cup
Do you believe in angels
do they make you smile
have you felt one on each shoulder
as you walk that long wiery mile
Do you know that all these things
are messages to you
do you believe that they exist

The tender touch of angel wings
brush softly past your face
summoned by spoken prayers
to stand here in this place...
Called to keep and guard you
to touch your heart with love
sent as special messengers
from a holy place above...
Sent to whisper words of peace
to calm a restless soul
sent to watch you as you sleep
their angels wings unfold...
They cover you with tenderness
they watch your slumbering face
they call you into peaceful rest
as they stand here in this place...
They walk beside you every step
as you go about your day
their mission is to guard you
as you travel on your way...
So if you feel a tender touch
a breeze upon your face
just know I prayed for angels
to keep you in this place...
